“‘YOU’RE GOING TO BE SET ON FIRE?!’” Panic exploded on Breaking Dad after Bradley Walsh agreed to attempt a terrifying “human torch” stunt that left son Barney visibly shaken and fearing the worst. As stunned crews prepared to cover the TV star in protective gel before igniting him in flames, the fun road trip atmosphere instantly turned into pure tension. 😨 Barney could only stare in disbelief as his father was warned he was about to take part in one of the most dangerous stunt burns ever attempted on the show — with one wrong move potentially ending in disaster. Now viewers are calling it the most nerve-racking moment in Breaking Dad history… and a split-second reaction from Barney just before the flames erupted is leaving fans seriously emotional.

Bradley Walsh’s son Barney was left lost for words as he watched his father get set on fire during Friday’s episode of their ITV show Breaking Dad.

The programme, which follows the father-son duo travel around the world for exciting and adventurous road trips, premiered in 2019.

Series seven, which has seen the pair travel to Australia, hit our screens earlier this month and it is set to return Friday with another episode.

In a first look at the instalment, Bradley is told: ‘We are going to do something very special with you.

‘We’ve chosen the most dangerous of all stunts. The human torch fire burn.’

Barney turns to his dad and tells him: ‘You’re going to be set on fire!’

He later asks him: ‘What do you think about it, dad?’

Bradley replies: ‘Do you know what Barns, I’m not too sure about it at the moment.’

The TV favourite puts on specialised clothing to prevent severe burns and injury.

Barney points out: ‘Wow, it’s a lot of layers.’

The professional replies: ‘It keeps the flame that far away from your skin.’

‘I don’t know why I am so compliant. Oh my God,’ Bradley says.

Barney asks: ‘Once he is set alight, how do you put him out?’

The expert tells him: ‘So our objective is to smother the oxygen, to smother you with wet blankets.

‘We’ve got the hose and the fire extinguisher as back ups.’

Bradley is then told that he if has any problem, to yell out ‘hot, hot, hot’ and to go to the floor.

The telly legend then puts on a balaclava to protect him from the flames and then lies on the floor to be set on fire.

‘The fuel used in the film industry burns at over 400°C,’ the voice over says.

But just before he is set on fire, Bradley shouts: ‘Woah, woah, woah, woah’ but quickly calms down and is set alight.

Barney shouts: ‘You are on fire, you are on fire!’

After Friday’s Episode of Breaking Dad, viewers can expect three more episodes in the current series.

Over the years, the pair have travelled to various locations in the USA, Europe and Asia.

Bradley is a huge TV star and is always busy working on different shows.

Earlier this week, Bradley appeared to have taken himself out of the running to be the new host of Strictly Come Dancing, after announcing he’s going to be on tour throughout September.

He was said to be one of producers’ favourites to replace Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, who stepped back from the show last year.

While speculation went into overdrive last month after it was alleged the actor had been for a screen test at the BBC, while filming for his quiz show, The Chase, was reportedly put on pause for ‘at least a year’.

However, even without The Chase on his roster, Bradley already has an action-packed schedule, as he also hosts Gladiators, Blankety Blank and Egypt’s Cosmic Code for Sky History.

And now he has seemingly ruled himself out once and for all after announcing the autumn dates for The Prat Pack’s Back reunion tour.

Bradley will be joining pals Brian Conley, Joe Pasquale and Shane Richie onstage for 17 shows across the UK, beginning on September 2 in Edinburgh and not wrapping up until September 26, at the London Palladium.

This would likely clash with Strictly filming, with the show usually kicking off in the middle of September, and the hosts needed to be around for rehearsals, promo and pre-recorded shoots beforehand.

‘Bradley’s announcement looks to be the surest sign yet he’s not the new Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman,’ a source pointed out to The Sun.

‘The Prat Pack perform as a foursome so there’s no chance Bradley can be covered for clashes, and by the same token he would be needed by the BBC for most of September for pre-records and Press.

‘There are just four days off on the tour. It’s unlikely it would have been unveiled this week, with tickets put on sale, if a Strictly update announcing Bradley as host was imminent.’

Bradley & Barney Walsh: Breaking Dad airs on Friday May 15 at 7:30PM on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player.
