In 2017, Kyle Tomlinson, a fifteen-year-old kid, sang the high notes of the hit gospel song “Hallelujah” effortlessly with passion during his audition for Britain’s Got Talent Season 11 and shocked the audience and the judges, especially David Williams.

If you aren’t familiar with the story, during a brief interview before his performance, Kyle did mention that he joined the show to prove David Williams wrong since a few years back, David once told him he needed a vocal coach to improve.

Although Kyle took this advice the hard way, he eventually ended up using it as motivation to be better. Years passed by, and Kyle Tomlinson didn’t stop training until one day, he finally felt ready to prove to everyone he had what it takes to win the competition.

Without hesitation, he went on to shoot his shot to show the world how much he had improved as an artist as he sang one of Leonard Cohen’s classic songs, “Hallelujah.”

Everyone was looking forward to his audition, especially David. Kyle gave such an emotional performance while hitting the high notes of the song that listeners couldn’t hold back their tears. Even David himself was speechless. The kid he once advised to get a vocal coach has now improved and has become a great performer.

It was because of this performance that Kyle immediately became a powerhouse in the competition, earning him a golden ticket to the finals.

Although Kyle wasn’t able to reach the number one spot at the end of the show, it was nonetheless an experience worth a lifetime.
