Netflix is bringing a chilling new psychological thriller to audiences this summer, with The Whisper Man set to premiere globally on August 28. At the center of the film are Robert De Niro, Adam Scott, and Michelle Monaghan, giving Netflix a particularly strong ensemble for a thriller built around a disturbing mystery.
A Father and Son Forced to Confront the Past
Scott stars as Tom Kennedy, a widowed crime writer whose life changes dramatically when his eight-year-old son is abducted. With the investigation offering few answers, Tom is forced to seek help from his estranged father, Pete Willis, played by De Niro.

Behind the camera, James Ashcroft, director of The Rule of Jenny Pen, is directing from a screenplay by Ben Jacoby and Chase Palmer.
