Royal BOMBSHELL Before Harry Even Gets Home! Queen Camilla Is Reportedly Owed An “Outstanding Debt” — And It Could Make His UK Return VERY Awkward Harry and Meghan haven’t even completed their reported return to Britain, yet one explosive piece of unfinished royal business has already resurfaced. Royal author Robert Jobson says Harry still owes Camilla an “outstanding debt” after the brutal claims he made in Spare — remarks Camilla never publicly answered, despite a close friend admitting they hurt. Queen Camilla Is Owed an “Outstanding Debt” by Prince Harry as His UK Return Puts Old Wounds Back in Focus

Princess Beatrice, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and Prince Charles, Prince of Wales attend the first day of Royal Ascot on June 19, 2018 in Ascot, England.

Prince Harry may be preparing to rebuild his life in Britain, but according to one royal author, there is an unresolved issue waiting much closer to home: his relationship with Queen Camilla.

With the Duke and Duchess of Sussex expected to return to the UK with Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, attention has inevitably turned to what their renewed proximity to the Royal Family could mean for years of strained relationships.

Royal author Robert Jobson believes any genuine reconciliation will require Harry to confront remarks he previously made about his stepmother — and potentially apologise for them.

In Jobson’s assessment, there is still an “outstanding debt” between Harry and Camilla, dating back to the Duke’s explosive memoir Spare and the interviews surrounding its publication.

Harry’s return brings the Camilla question back into focus

Harry and Meghan are expected to return to Britain as private citizens rather than working members of the monarchy. Their move therefore does not represent a restoration of the royal roles they left behind in 2020.

Nevertheless, simply being back in the same country as King Charles and Queen Camilla creates a dramatically different situation.

For much of the past six years, Harry and Meghan have lived thousands of miles away in California. During that period, the Duke publicly discussed several deeply personal disputes involving members of his family.

Camilla was among those he addressed most pointedly.

Jobson argues that those comments cannot simply be forgotten if Harry genuinely hopes to repair his relationships within the family.

Referring to Harry’s criticism of Camilla, Jobson wrote that “there is a debt outstanding first,” while also arguing that unresolved issues remain between Harry and his brother, Prince William.

He believes an apology from Harry is unlikely, but considers reconciliation essential if the wider family is ever to achieve greater unity.

Importantly, this is Jobson’s interpretation of the situation. There has been no public statement from Camilla herself demanding an apology from Harry.

What Harry wrote about Camilla in Spare

Much of the tension stems from Harry’s 2023 memoir.

In Spare, Harry described the complicated emotions surrounding his father’s relationship with Camilla and claimed that he and William had asked Charles not to marry her.

Harry nevertheless acknowledged his father’s feelings, writing that the brothers recognised Charles was finally going to be with the woman he loved.

But other passages were considerably more critical.

Harry described his childhood concerns about Camilla and invoked the image of a “wicked stepmother” while discussing his feelings before Charles and Camilla married.

Perhaps more damagingly, Harry accused Camilla of sacrificing him on her “personal PR altar” — language that became one of the memoir’s most widely discussed claims.

Harry called Camilla “the villain”

Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, King Charles III and Camilla, Queen Consort observe the coffin of Queen Elizabeth II as it is transferred from the gun carriage to the hearse at Wellington Arch following the State Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey on September 19, 2022 in London, England.

Harry expanded on his feelings during the promotional interviews surrounding Spare.

Speaking to Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes in January 2023, Harry described Camilla as “the villain” within the story of his parents’ marriage.

He argued that she needed to rehabilitate her public image and claimed her relationships with members of the British media made the situation “dangerous.”

Those were extraordinary comments for a son of the monarch to make publicly about the woman who had become Queen Consort only months earlier.

Harry’s criticism also came at a particularly sensitive moment for the Royal Family, following Queen Elizabeth II’s death in September 2022 and King Charles III’s accession.

Camilla largely refused to answer publicly

Despite the enormous publicity generated by Harry’s memoir, Camilla did not launch a public counterattack.

That silence has remained a significant part of the story.

One of Camilla’s close friends, Lady Lansdowne, later acknowledged that Harry’s comments affected her.

Speaking to The Times, Lady Lansdowne said the criticism naturally hurt Camilla, but explained that the Queen’s approach was not to amplify the controversy.

Her philosophy, according to Lady Lansdowne, was essentially to avoid turning disputes into something bigger and allow them to settle with time.

That restraint is important when considering Jobson’s latest argument.

The suggestion that Harry owes Camilla an “outstanding debt” comes from the royal author — not from a public demand made by the Queen herself.

Could Harry’s return create an opportunity for reconciliation?

The Sussexes’ return inevitably raises a larger question: whether physical proximity might finally provide opportunities to repair relationships that have deteriorated over several years.

Harry’s relationship with Charles has attracted particular attention, especially amid speculation over whether father and son can establish a more stable private relationship.

The situation with William appears considerably more difficult.

Harry made a series of serious allegations involving his older brother in Spare, and their estrangement has become one of the defining fractures within the modern Royal Family.

Jobson believes that Harry’s unresolved “debt” does not end with Camilla, arguing that the Duke also has unfinished business with William.

Whether Harry agrees with that assessment is another matter.

There has been no announcement that he intends to issue public apologies to either Camilla or William.

Christmas could become an early test

Another question hanging over Harry and Meghan’s return is whether their renewed presence in Britain could eventually lead to greater involvement in private family gatherings.

That includes Christmas at Sandringham.

Their return to Britain does not automatically mean they will rejoin the Royal Family for such occasions, and no confirmed arrangement has been announced.

But the possibility illustrates how dramatically circumstances could change once Harry, Meghan and their children are living much closer to the King and Queen.

Archie and Lilibet’s presence could also create new opportunities for family contact that were far more difficult while the Sussexes were primarily based in California.

Yet geographic distance was never the only obstacle.

The public accusations, interviews and deeply personal revelations of recent years remain part of the history between the two sides.

An “outstanding debt” — but no public demand from Camilla

For all the dramatic language surrounding the latest development, an important distinction remains.

Queen Camilla has not publicly demanded an apology from Harry.

The description of an “outstanding debt” reflects Robert Jobson’s view of what Harry must address if he wants meaningful reconciliation with his family.

Camilla’s documented approach has been markedly quieter. Rather than publicly answering Harry’s criticism, she has largely continued with her responsibilities alongside the King. HELLO!’s royal coverage has similarly portrayed Camilla as maintaining a strong focus on her public role and support for Charles.

That leaves Harry’s approaching return with an intriguing unresolved question.

Moving back to Britain can close the physical distance between the Duke and his family. It cannot, by itself, erase what has been said.

And if Jobson is correct, Harry may discover that before any larger royal reconciliation can take place, there are conversations with Camilla — and William — that remain unfinished.
