Only Connect fans stumped by sequence puzzle with a surprisingly simple answer

A short sequence of letters has left Only Connect fans scratching their heads, despite the answer becoming remarkably straightforward once the hidden pattern is spotted.

The puzzle was shared on Reddit in the Only Connect community on January 11, 2026, and quickly attracted attempts from viewers trying to work out what should come fourth.

BBC Two’s Only Connect, hosted by Victoria Coren Mitchell, is known for asking contestants to find connections between clues that can initially appear to have very little in common.
