At First, It Looked Like A Walk In The Park… The 1% Club Viewers Watched Players Fly Through Lee Mack’s Questions—then One Detail Made Them Look Twice. The answers came almost instantly, with contestants appearing to breeze through questions that left viewers at home feeling unusually confident. Then an eagle-eyed fan noticed a small detail hiding in plain sight, suddenly putting those impressive-looking answers in a very different light. It’s the kind of detail you’ll miss completely until someone points it out—then you’ll wonder how you never noticed it before

Elliot locked in his answer before realising it was wrong.

Fans of Lee Mack’s The 1% Club have taken to social media to express their glee at getting the questions right, but they may not be as brainy as they seem.

The ITV quiz show sees 100 contestants competing to win a tidy sum of £100,000. However to win they must answer questions that only one percent of the country can reportedly get right.

With this in mind, fans were pretty chuffed when they were correctly answering many of the questions on last night’s (11 November) episode, and were likely getting their MENSA applications ready.

The question stumped viewers.

One fan wrote: “I need to get on this 1% Club, no good me sitting here answering the questions in 5 seconds, need to be there winning the money.”

A second said: “The 1% Club questions are so annoying – I didn’t know the answer to the 60% question but immediately knew the answer to the 1% question.”

“Mrs says I’m abnormal. I get The 1% Club question in approximately 1-3 seconds,” commented another.

A fourth replied: “Got down to the 10% question on 1% Club and I’m being quietly smug about it!”

While all those people were patting themselves on the back however, one viewer pointed out why the questions on last night’s show might have been a little easier to answer than usual.

Lee Mack's The 1% Club will return for a third series in 2024.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), they wrote: “Sat here, thinking ‘I’m quite good at this 1% Club show’…but I’ve realised this is a re-run and I’ve probably seen all the questions on TikTok.”

Womp, womp. Turns out you’re not actually cleverer than 99% of the population.

Now for some good news – ITV recently announced that a third season of The 1% Club has been greenlit.

Some social media users believe they should be one of the show's 100 contestants.

The forthcoming instalment will extend from eight one-hour episodes to 16 and is expected to return to the small screen for two Christmas specials this festive season.

Lee Mack said: “Once again I am delighted to cause household arguments, as kids mock their parents for being not as bright as them. But us grown-ups can stay out as late as we want, so we get the last laugh”

ITV’s commissioning editor Satmohan Panesar also added that it is ‘no easy task’ to establish a new game show, but the quiz has been a ‘big hit with viewers’.

“We’re excited to be able to announce a third new series as well as two Christmas specials which we’re sure will be a massively entertaining addition to festive telly for all the family,” he continued.

The third series of The 1% Club is yet to be given a release date by ITV, however, you can stream series one and two on ITVX.

Forget Stranger Things—this Netflix Latest Release Is Being Compared To One Of “THE GREATEST MOVIES EVER MADE” And The Reason Goes Far Deeper Than A Terrifying Threat Hiding Beneath The Water. The series taps into the same slow-building dread that made one of cinema’s most iconic films so unforgettable, keeping the real danger just out of sight while making every quiet moment feel increasingly threatening.
