Ebenezer, starring Johnny Depp, is helmed by horror film director Ti West.
There have been countless adaptations of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol over the years. And now it’s Johnny Depp’s turn to play Scrooge.
The first look poster for Ebenezer teases the Hollywood star as the Victorian miser in a snow-covered top hat. And now the first teaser trailer has landed, following the one I was lucky enough to view back in April at CinemaCon Las Vegas.

The 63-year-old, who was obsessed with A Christmas Carol as a kid, has also deleted all his Instagram posts and posted three spelling out “Bah Humbug”.
Ebenezer is directed by Ti West, best known for horror films, suggesting he’ll lean into the ghost story side of the festive tale. The upcoming film co-stars Rupert Grint as Bob Cratchit, with Sir Ian McKellen as Jacob Marley.
Ebenezer hits cinemas this November.
