KATYA JONES CAUGHT MOUTING ‘FIT’ AFTER LAWRENCE ROBB’S STRICTLY PERFORMANCE — FANS IMMEDIATELY NOTICE HER REACTION

Katya Jones appeared to let slip exactly what she thought of Lawrence Robb’s first Strictly Come Dancing performance — and eagle-eyed viewers were quick to catch it.

The professional dancer, 37, was sitting on the balcony during Saturday night’s first live show when the camera briefly turned towards her following Lawrence’s Paso Doble.

The 34-year-old Emmerdale star had just performed Aperture by Harry Styles with his professional partner Jowita Przystał when Katya turned towards new professional dancer Aleksandra Isaeva.

And, according to viewers watching closely, she appeared to mouth one very complimentary word:

“Fit.”

The tiny moment was enough to send fans straight to social media, with several viewers wondering if they had really seen what they thought they had.

“Did Katya call Lawrence fit???” one fan asked.

Another joked: “Katya looking for another Strictly dalliance.”

Others posted reactions including: “He’s fit?”, “Haha Katya mouthing ‘fit’ after Lawrence’s dance” and “What did Katya say?”

One viewer simply wrote: “Strictly did Katya just mouth ‘fit’?”

LAWRENCE SCORES 20 FOR HIS FIRST LIVE DANCE

Lawrence, who plays Mackenzie Boyd on ITV soap Emmerdale, earned 20 points for his Paso Doble.

Craig Revel Horwood awarded him a four, while Motsi Mabuse and Shirley Ballas each gave him five. Anton Du Beke awarded six.

The actor is in a relationship with West End performer Pamela Blair, with the couple going public with their romance in 2024 at the BAFTA Scotland Awards.

For now, however, it was Katya’s brief reaction that attracted much of the attention.

A SURPRISING NIGHT FOR STRICTLY

The first live show also delivered a surprise at the top of the leaderboard.

YouTuber John Nellis, who is partnered with Katya, impressed viewers with his Foxtrot to Ordinary by Alex Warren, scoring 31 points and topping the leaderboard.

The result came after this year’s line-up had previously been branded the “worst ever” by some viewers before the live shows began.

John’s performance appears to have changed some minds, with the YouTuber earning praise after what was an unexpectedly strong opening dance.

The same could not quite be said for the new presenting team.

NEW HOSTS RECEIVE MIXED REACTION

Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe made their live-show debut as Strictly’s new hosting trio following the departures of Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman at the end of the 2025 series.

The new format saw Emma and Josh presenting from the dancefloor, while Johannes took on the role of interviewing celebrities from the auditorium.

The change attracted mixed reactions from viewers, with some questioning Josh’s role alongside the more experienced Emma.

He did, however, win laughs with a callback to the launch show’s new musical-chairs-style pairing format.

As Josh stood on the dancefloor looking bemused, Emma, Johannes and Craig Revel Horwood appeared alongside him before Josh wailed: “Change partners!”

The moment left viewers amused.

There will be no elimination this week, with the scores from the opening show being carried forward and combined with next week’s results before the first contestant leaves the competition.

But while the leaderboard may have belonged to John Nellis, it was Katya’s apparently spontaneous two-word reaction to Lawrence Robb that had Strictly viewers replaying the moment.
