Netflix has released the first-look teaser trailer for its reboot of Little House on the Prairie, which will premiere all episodes on July 9.

Based on the beloved books by Laura Ingalls Wilder, the series follows the Ingalls family as they leave everything they know for a new life on the prairie and discover what “home” really means.

The series stars Alice Halsey (Laura Ingalls), Luke Bracey (Charles Ingalls), Crosby Fitzgerald (Caroline Ingalls), and Skywalker Hughes (Mary Ingalls).

“Once upon a time, Ma and Pa and Mary and Laura left the Big Woods of Wisconsin and moved to the prairie where a new life was waiting for them,” says the teaser trailer, which you can watch down below. “Every day and every night was an adventure. And even though they were all alone and very small against the sky and the stars… they were happy because they were a family and they were together.”

Little House on the Prairie also stars Warren Christie (John Edwards), Jocko Sims (Dr. Tann), Meegwun Fairbrother (Mitchell), Wren Zhawenim Gotts (Good Eagle), Alyssa Wapanatâhk (White Sun), Xander Cole (Little Puma), Ryan Robbins (Russell), Barrett Doss (Emily), Mary Holland (Jemma James), Michael Hough (Eli James), Kowen Cadorath (Caleb), Thosh Collins (Louis), Maclean Fish (Adam Scott), and Rebecca Amzallag (Lacey).

Rebecca Sonnenshine serves as writer, showrunner, and executive producer of the Little House on the Prairie remake. The executive producing team also includes Joy Gorman Wettels for Joy Coalition, Trip Friendly for Friendly Family Productions, and Dana Fox. Directors featured in the first season of the series include Sarah Adina Smith (101), Julie Anne Robinson (102, 103), Kat Candler (104, 105), Erica Tremblay (106), and Sydney Freeland (107, 108).

Ahead of its Season 1 debut of the CBS Studios and Anonymous Content drama, Netflix has already renewed it for a second season.

Jinny Howe, Netflix’s head of U.S. and Canada scripted series, said, “We are delighted to renew this beautiful reimagining of Little House on the Prairie for a second season ahead of its Netflix debut.
