Move over Heartstopper, there a brand-new teen romance coming to Netflix.

Here the Whole Time or Quinze Dias will be released on Netflix on August 19 and promises to serve up a sweet story about yearning and romance.

The 2020 YA novel by Brazilian author Vitor Martins follows overweight teen Felipe (played by Miguel Lallo), whose life is turned upside down when finds out that his secret crush Caio (Diego Lira) will be spending the summer holidays with his family.

Felipe will be forced to confront his insecurities, including his sexuality and his lack of body confidence due to his size, over the course of the 15 days that Caio is living with them.

A synopsis from Netflix reads: “Felipe (Miguel Lallo), a sensitive teenager with a passion for pop culture, just wants to survive the summer break — staying away from the school bullies, binge-watching his favorite shows and forgetting about the outside world.

“But his plans go awry when his self-assured neighbor Caio (Diego Lira), the popular guy at school and his old crush, moves in under the same roof for two weeks [sic].”

The movie also stars Débora Falabella, Mika Soeiro , Bel Moreira , João Pedro Chaseliov , Augusto Madeira , Mariana Santos , and Marcio Vito.

Netflix recently dropped a trailer for the film adaptation of the best-seller and many were quick to praise the coming-of-age movie.

Here the Whole Time will be coming to Netflix next month and ahead of its release the movie’s leads Lallo and Lira met with Heartstopper’s stars Kit Connor and Joe Locke to share news of the Brazilian film’s release.
