WELL known Loughborough singer Sally Barker will be back with Sir Tom Jones when she supports him in concert in July.

The singer-songwriter, who made it through to the finals of BBC1’s The Voice, will support Sir Tom at Northants Cricket on July 9.

Sally, who is the lead singer of female folk band The Poozies, and has supported the likes of Bob Dylan and Robert Plant, told the Echo she is yet to decide her song line-up for the show.Tom Jones' "emotional" tribute to late wife on The Voice UK revealed |  Radio Times

 

But she said that it would be along the lines of her homecoming gig, due to be held in Leicester at the time of going to press with Glen Hughes, of Loughborough, on the keyboard and Ian Crabtree, which included her own songs and favourites from the show.

“I’m just thrilled to be doing it,” she said. “It feels like there’s an afterglow, there’s still a connection there between myself and Tom.

“It was my dream to sing with him, I can die happy having sung with him. Now to be supporting him it’s a bigger test.”
