Speaking directly to the camera, Luke began: “So I’m about to put you onto one of the best films of the decade and if you haven’t seen it, you are massively missing out.”
He then continued: “The film that I am talking about is called Marty Supreme. Now, I absolutely love this film, I [give] it a five star; I think it is a perfect film.
“And Timothée Chalamet’s performance in this film is one of the best performances you will ever see.
“Now, if you love fast-paced action, intense drama, this film is 100% for you.”
What is Marty Supreme about?
Sports comedy-drama Marty Supreme, which has amassed an impressive 93% score on popular review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes, follows Chalamet as the eponymous Marty Mauser, an aspiring table tennis player on a quest to become the world champion.
Directed by Josh Safdie, who co-wrote and directed Uncut Gems, it’s set in the 1950s and charts Marty’s desperate hustle to make his dream come true.
Luke said: “And you might not be a fan of sport, you might not be a fan of ping pong, and I am definitely one of those people.
“But this film is so intense. The performances are fantastic, from Timothée Chalamet to Gwyneth Paltrow, to every single person in this film – and it is also absolutely hilarious.
“Timothée Chalamet in this film is so brilliant. Now, I know a lot of people aren’t a massive fan and I feel like this film will totally change your mind.
“If you wanna go and check this film out, it’s just been added to Prime Video – and that’s exactly why I’m talking about it.
“So, make sure you go ahead and get Marty supreme on your watch list. Get it watched.”
