Prince Harry Branded A ‘Jerk’ By Former Montecito Neighbour — And His Shock Theory About Why The Duke Rushed Back To Britain

Prince Harry has been branded a “jerk” by a former neighbour in Montecito, who has offered a striking theory about why the Duke of Sussex suddenly left California and returned to the UK with Meghan Markle and their children.
Bruce Johnston, a former member of the Beach Boys who lives close to the Sussexes’ Montecito mansion, admitted he was surprised to see the couple leave the neighbourhood after years in California.
But his explanation for Harry’s return to Britain was far more pointed.
‘I’m Sure Harry Has Gone Back To Tell His Brother He’s Sorry’
Speaking to The Sun, Johnston suggested Harry may have returned to repair his relationship with his older brother, Prince William, after years of family tensions.
“I’m sure that Harry has gone back to tell his brother he’s sorry for being a jerk,” he said.

Johnston added that the situation could be particularly important because King Charles is “not well” and William is set to become King one day.
“His father is not well and William is going to be King, so he needs to make amends,” the musician claimed.
The comments offer a striking glimpse into how the Sussexes’ dramatic move back to Britain is being viewed by at least one of their former neighbours — although Johnston’s theory remains speculation rather than an explanation confirmed by Harry or Meghan.
‘No One Really Knows Why They Left’
Johnston also admitted that he did not know the real reason behind the couple’s sudden departure from Montecito.
“But no one really knows why they left — apart from Oprah,” he said, referring to Oprah Winfrey, who also lives nearby.
The former Beach Boys star claimed the Sussexes had spent considerable time at Winfrey’s home, adding that he lives opposite the television personality himself.
His comments underline just how much uncertainty has surrounded Harry and Meghan’s decision to establish themselves in Britain again after several years in California.
A New Chapter In Britain

Harry and Meghan returned to the UK last month, bringing Archie and Lilibet with them as they begin a new chapter away from their Montecito life.
Their children are enrolled at a school in Britain and are due to start this month, making the family’s relocation more than a short visit.
The move has also unfolded against a complicated backdrop within the Royal Family, with King Charles reportedly only informed days before the Sussexes’ return became public.
For a couple who built a new life in California after stepping away from royal duties, their decision to settle back in Britain has inevitably reignited speculation about what prompted the dramatic change — and whether Harry’s return could eventually lead to a very different relationship with the family he left behind.
