50 Cent will be headlining a residency in Las Vegas as his self-declared rival Diddy awaits trial behind bars.
This will be the In Da Club rapper’s first residency. He announced the news on his Instagram page Tuesday.
“My first Vegas residency is going to be an experience, you don’t wanna miss this!” 50 Cent captioned the post, “I’ll be doing 6 Exclusive shows December 27 – January 4 at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Tickets on sale Saturday.”
The residency will be called “50 Cent: In Da Club” and take place December 27, 28, 30, 31, and January 3 and 4. Presale begins October 16 at 10am PST. Sources in Las Vegas told TMZ that 50 Cent was able to lock down a $15 million deal.
The current music residency at the resort and casino is Shania Twain’s “Shania Twain: Come On Over” which will take place through February 2025.
After Shania, the Black Eyed Peas are set to start their residency titled “3008” that same month. Rock band Scorpions will have a residency tiled “Coming Home To Las Vegas” from February 27 to March 11.
According to Ticketmaster, 50 Cent’s show is recommended for those aged 6 and up. There will be a general admission pit in front of the stage along with three tiers of seating.
This announcement comes after 50 Cent’s documentary on Sean “Diddy” Combs was picked up by Netflix. It is still in production and no release date has been set, but the documentary will focus on the assault and abuse claims that have been made against Diddy.
Diddy has pled not guilty and denied all wrongdoings. He was arrested last month, much to the delight of 50 Cent.
At the time of his arrest, 50 Cent posted online: “I been telling y’all about all this weird s–t, I don’t do NO puffy party’s. you didn’t believe me but I bet you believe me now!”
Last month, 50 Cent and the director of the documentary, Alexandria Stapleton, made a statement to Variety about their intentions with the documentary. This is a story with significant human impact. It is a complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips seen so far,” the statement said.
