Tom Brady and his eldest son, Jack, were spotted at a Japanese restaurant on a ‘low-key night out’ in New York City on Tuesday, according to The New York Post.
Per the outlet, the father-son duo went out for dinner at Azabu New York in Tribeca, arriving on site between 6.30 and 7 p.m..
They stayed for about an hour-and-a-half and dipped after having ordered spicy tuna crispy rice, Brussels sprouts, O-Toro nigiri, salmon aburi nigiri and shrimp tempura maki rolls, which were reportedly made just for Jack.
A restaurant patron revealed that the 16-year-old is a ‘super tall kid — taller than his dad,’ who is 6-ft-4.
‘They sat across from each other,’ a source told The Post. ‘Tom was talking to him about football, his own experiences and was schooling his son about the game, smiling as the son talked.’
The dynamic between the pair appeared to be ‘very close and loving.’
Brady also ‘took the time to talk to fans at the restaurant,’ per the same source, who added that ‘a girl from another table came up to Tom as he was sitting at the table, talking on the phone. She was being a total fangirl – sat down next to him, told him ”I love you” and proceeded to hug him.’
Brady reacted by being ‘very gracious and accommodating. He ‘didn’t seem put off in the least,’ the source said.
Jack – born John Edward Thomas Moynahan – is Brady’s only child with his actress and ex-girlfriend, Bridget Moynahan. Jack is believed to be close with Brady’s kids – Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11 – with his ex-wife, Gisele Bundchen.
The 46-year-old, seven-time Super Bowl champion dated Moynahan, 53, for three years until he moved on with Bundchen, 43, in December 2006.
The following February, it was revealed that Moynahan was three months pregnant with Jack and that Brady was the father.
Despite their breakup, Brady travelled to LA by private jet to attend the birth of his eldest son in August 2007.
‘These are adults who are responsible enough to work things out,’ Jason Taylor – Brady’s friend and a former NFL defensive end/linebacker – told People at the time.
‘Things happen, but they’re handling it correctly.’
Brady was married to Bundchen from February 2009 to October 2022.
