Secret Lives of Gypsy Wives starring upcoming TikTok influencer Trewley-Precious is about to hit the small screen – and here’s when it starts and who Trewley is.

The brand new reality show follows Trewley, 26, as she embarks on her ambition to become a social media star.

But there is one problem; her family’s traditional Traveller beliefs don’t exactly align with her career choice.

Move over, My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, as there’s a new girl on the block. Secret Lives of Gypsy Wives gives viewers a glimpse at real life Traveller family, the Wass’.

Trewley-Precious Sunshine Wass is 26 years old. She lives with her mum Tina and four older sisters; Ruby Ann, Honey, Peaches and Pearly Girl all live nearby. 

The new Channel 4 series begins in the aftermath of Trewley’s dad’s death. As the family try to pick up the pieces, she comes up with an excellent idea. Trewley-Precious wants to make enough money from social media to look after them all.

Unlike the majority of Travellers, the Wass family’s kids grew up on a council estate in Essex. This is opposed to in a caravan, either static or one on wheels.

The main house is pained pink and, as the youngest of Tina’s girls, Trewley-Precious still lives at home. Well, actually, she lives in a pink chalet in the garden…

The bills need to be paid and Trewley-Precious thinks she can command enough followers from her online content to get the job done. But there is one thing standing in her way.

Trewley’s crusade to become the next big social media star is at odds with her family’s Traveller values. Trewley is expected to settle down, get married and become a housewife.

Tina’s concerned her daughter’s decision to chat about sex and relationships on podcasts, and promote cosmetics online, will spark a backlash within the Traveller community.

Trewley says in a trailer for The Secret Lives of Gypsy Wives: “We’re like the Kardashians. Like the Kardashians if they were broke.”

Who is Trewley-Precious and how many followers does she have?

Trewley-Precious has more than 100,000 followers on Instagram already. They include some recognisable faces, including The Only Way Is Essex’s Harry Derbidge and former Big Brother star Hallie Clarke.

She is also big on TikTok, with 942,000 fans on there.

Speaking about The Secret Lives of Gypsy Wives, Trewley says in one recent TikTok video: “I know nobody was expecting me to come out with my own TV show, I know.

“I’ll be honest with you, I didn’t think when I walked into the Channel 4 room that I was going to get it. But quite frankly I did get it and we have worked extremely hard on it.”

Trewley’s social media content is heavily focused on cosmetics and make-up. She’s also collab’ed with fashion brands including Juicy Couture and Shein, and been partial to sharing holiday content from Egypt.

When does The Secret Lives of Gypsy Wives start?

You really don’t have long to wait, as The Secret Lives of Gypsy Wives is less than a week away!

The new show will start on Channel 4 on Monday July 20, 2026. It airs at 10pm with a runtime of one hour, ending at 11pm.

The Secret Lives of Gypsy Wives then air weekly each Monday in the same time slot. Each episode will also be available to stream for free on Channel 4’s website once it has aired.
