THIS is the awkward moment Meghan Markle was “snubbed” on the red carpet by a Hollywood legend.

In a humiliating moment, the Duchess, 45, was ignored by 16-time Grammy Award winner, David Foster, 76, on Friday.

Harry, 41, and Meghan had been attending the 40th anniversary gala for the David Foster Foundation in Victoria, Canada, when she was shown the cold shoulder.

In footage circulating on social media, the Duke and Duchess can be seen on the red carpet as Foster approaches.

He completely snubs Meghan as she outstretches her hand, walking straight past and not even casting a glance in her direction as Harry watches on.

Foster’s wife – American Idol star Katharine McPhee – then puts her arm around Meghan as the quartet line up for a snap in front of the cameras.

The Duke and Duchess have been close to the couple for years with McPhee previously opening up on the “father and son” relationship between Harry and Foster.

However, there appeared to be underlying tension as they shared the limelight in Canada.

Meghan later posted a selfie of her and Harry at their charity event date night as well as a video of them greeting performers playing the bagpipes.

Social media users flocked to the comment on the awkward moment with one saying: “Tensions on the red carpet!

“Meghan Markle publicly snubbed by host David Foster. Watch as he refuses to greet her and ignores her reaching hand. Ouch!”

However, others argued that Meghan was simply ushering the couple to move next to them for the snap.

Just last week, the Duchess was boasting about her recent trip to visit the King and Queen, according to TV legend Martha Stewart.

The lifestyle icon, 85, said she and Meghan had both been guests at a recent event in California where she said Meghan had “just gotten back from the palace”.

“I didn’t talk to her really more than to say a couple words, but I know she was talking about it,” she said.

Last Tuesday, Meghan celebrated her 45th birthday, sharing a new clip of her dancing around the kitchen in pyjamas and a tiara.

Hubby Harry, 41, could be heard saying “oh dear” as the Duchess of Sussex – who turned 45 yesterday – boogied around their California home.

Donning a loose fitting t-shirt emblazoned with “It’s Giving Mrs”, Meghan beamed as she waltzed around the kitchen to a birthday tune.

The day before she thanked her social media followers for the “birthday love” as she shared pictures of herself plunging into a pool with balloons.

Royal experts blasted the “contrived” birthday posts on last week’s episode of Royal Exclusive on The Sun’s new video hub.

It came as the Sussexes returned from Europe which saw the family visit Charles and Camilla at Highgrove during a visit to the UK.

Harry had intended to bring his family with him for the full duration of his five-day trip to Britain, including the Invictus Games in Birmingham.

However, he instead flew in alone and hours before arriving in London an invitation to stay at Buckingham Palace was reportedly withdrawn.

But his family eventually entered the country in secret due to ongoing security concerns after Harry lost a row with the Home Office.

Meghan also shared snaps of Harry, 41, and their kids Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, during what appears to be a visit to Princess Diana‘s childhood home.
