A young Bruce Springsteen fan had the singalong of his lifetime – for the second time in his life.
The Boss invited audience member Nathan Testa on stage after spotting a cheeky sign in the crowd at his Brisbane show on Thursday.
Together, the pair sang a rendition of ‘Growin’ up’ – apparently only four years after Nathan was last invited on stage by Springsteen.

The US rock legend interrupted Thursday’s show at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre when he saw a sign held up by Nathan.
‘Missed school, in the s**t now, can I play “Growin’ up” with you?’ the sign read.
‘You know it on guitar?…Well come on up!’ Springsteen exclaimed, and Nathan climbed on stage, fishing a guitar pick out of his pocket.
After being handed an acoustic guitar by a technician, the young fan began plucking the intro to ‘Growin’ up,’ a hit from Springsteen’s 1973 debut album ‘Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J.’
Nathan and his idol sang the song together, and towards the end, Springsteen was inspired to tell an anecdote about when he got his first guitar.
‘I brought it home and I realised it wasn’t about how well you played it, it was about how good you looked doing it,’ he said, as the young fan kept strumming the song.

Next, the old and young rockers practised some poses together, before finishing the tune.

After asking his name, Springsteen told the audience: ‘I have seen the future of rock ‘n’ roll, and his name is Nathan Testa.’
The Boss then immediately launched into the next song – seemingly without remembering he had already met the ‘future of rock’ in the past.
In 2013, the Courier-Mail reported an 11-year-old named Nathan Testa was invited on stage to sing ‘Waitin’ on a sunny day’ with Springsteen.
‘I was that happy I started crying; I had a little tear in my eye,’ Nathan said at the time.
Nathan and Springsteen’s full performance from Thursday can be seen on Youtube.
