One of the best horror films of the decade has just landed on Netflix – and it’s well worth a watch. Despite its release back in 2024, a few days ago Netflix viewers were elated to see the thriller land on their home screens.

Just recently, fans were told to not watch the “scariest film of the decade” alone and this movie is on the same level. Social media tends to be a great place for people to share their recommendations and thanks to Eccy Reviews, this one is seriously eye-opening and will have your spine tingling.

After landing a 6.8 out of 10 rating on IMDb and 83% on Rotten Tomatoes, Eccy Reviews crowned Speak No Evil (2024) as one of the best horror films of the decade. And the best part is, the film landed on Netflix on July 16.

In a TikTok post with his 443,000 followers, he urged fans to “stop whatever you’re doing” because this film on Netflix is a “must-watch tonight”.

He added: “Now I’m someone who went to the cinema and watched this film, it absolutely terrified me. It has a fantastic performance from James McAvoy. And this film is so creepy.”

Speak No Evil follows an American family who are invited to stay at a remote farmhouse of a British couple for a week while they’re vacating in Italy. The situation escalates when the hosts soon test the limits of their guests.

Speak No Evil 2024 Plot and James McAvoy Performance

Without giving too much away, Eccy Reviews said it follows a family on holiday who encounter another family. Despite giving off “weird and creepy” vibes, Paddy (played by James McAvoy) and his family accept an offer to visit this other family’s house which is located in the middle of nowhere.

Now you just know something’s going to go wrong but Eccy Reviews left what happens next as a true mystery although it truly spooked him.

He added: “Now what comes next is this terrifying horrifying performance from James McAvoy and the rest of his family. And it’s a story that will genuinely shock you to your core.”

Concluding the video, he encouraged fans to add it to their watch list this weekend.

Many people also had really good things to say about the 2024 film, like “brilliant” and it’s the kind of movie which keeps you on the “edge of your seat”. Others can’t “stop thinking about it”.
