LeBron James has lost patience, so how terrible were “King’s” previous times of losing patience?
In the past, NBA fans have witnessed several times when LeBron James “turned on fatigue mode” and used his influence to impact the team.
LeBron James showed signs of losing patience after Tuesday’s loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves. His interview answer said it all when the 33-year-old striker shared that mistakes cannot be repeated over and over again at the Los Angeles Lakers.
This is LeBron James’ warning to the media, audience and team members. But really, what happens when LeBron loses patience and how will he affect the team?
In the past, NBA fans have witnessed a few times when LeBron “turned on fatigue mode” and while the “king” is showing a little sign of frustration, let’s take a look at previous times of losing patience. How terrible is yours?
Cleveland Cavaliers 2017-18 season
The last time LeBron’s endurance was tested was last season. The Cleveland Cavaliers about 9 months ago were nothing more than a mess with constant scandals like throwing a bowl of soup, not celebrating with teammates or drama related to Kevin Love.
LeBron James doesn’t like any of this at all. He played “poorly” through December and January before asking the team’s management to almost rebuild half of the squad before the last day of the transfer market (Trade Deadline).
After all, all of the above issues and a bit of LeBron’s boredom during the Playoffs contributed to his decision to leave QuickenLoans Arena last summer.
Game 5 Semifinals of the Eastern Region 2010
This is truly a dark night for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Many people believe that this loss was the stepping stone for LeBron to leave Cleveland for the first time in 2010.
Throughout that season, James continuously showed signs of frustration when the pieces around him were ineffective. And right in the most important game of the Series against Boston, LeBron revealed it all.
In Game 5 of the Eastern Conference semi-final series, LeBron had only 3 successful shots and let the Cleveland Cavaliers lose 88-120 to the Boston Celtics.
After this match, the Cavaliers were down 3-2 and continued to lose in the following Game 6 to see Boston advance to the region finals series.
Unforgettable Christmas match of 2015
Christmas matches always have a lot of meaning for the players. In 2015, LeBron and the Cleveland Cavaliers faced the Golden State Warriors in one of the most anticipated matches.
However, coach David Blatt chose this opportunity to “test the squad”. He changed the playing strategy in both attack and defense, leading to the Cavaliers losing to the Golden State Warriors. After the game, the Cavaliers’ locker room exploded as players and coaching staff shouted at each other.
Things got worse when right after this loss, the Cleveland Cavaliers had to suffer another humiliating defeat against the Blazers when they let the team from Portland win by 28 points without the presence of Damian Lillard.
LeBron James was extremely depressed and not long after, Mr. David Blatt had to leave.
Miami Heat 2010-11 season
The Miami Heat 2010-11 season is a very similar example to this year’s Los Angeles Lakers when LeBron James faced many difficulties to play in harmony with his new teammates.

Starting the season with 9 defeats in 17 matches, LeBron asked the board to fire coach Erik Spoelstra at that time and bring back the legendary Pat Riley to the captain’s position.
However, after that, Mr. Pat Riley himself convinced LeBron and the “king” was patient with the Miami Heat.
However, with a very strong squad, LeBron, Wade and his teammates could not win the championship against an extremely resilient Dallas Mavericks.
