A lesser-known limited series on Netflix has caught the attention of several viewers, who have said to have been kept on the edge of the seat when watching the thrilling drama series, earning it a perfect 100 per cent score on Rotten Tomatoes. If you’re looking to see which films or TV shows are worth a watch, Rotten Tomatoes has proved to be a reliable source, as critics and home viewers alike have the opportunity to rate the things they’ve watched. However, not many films or shows ever managed to earn a perfect 100 per cent score.

Now, Netflix has managed to get on the list of the best TV shows of 2025 with an Australian limited drama series which seem to have gone relatively unnoticed. Now, TV reviewer Lamia has shared her thoughts on the six-part crime drama series, which she says had her gripped from start to finish.

“This show blew my mind. If you are looking for a TV show to binge, this is your sign,” Lamia said at the start of the video. She went on to tease: “Let me tell you, this show had me like thinking what’s gonna happen. It had me on the edge of my seat.”

Fans praise drama show starring Bridgerton and Lord of the Rings stars

The show in question is Netflix’s limited series, The Survivors. It stars Australian actor Charlie Vickers in the role of Kieran, who is best known for portraying Sauron in the Amazon Prime fantasy drama The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.

Actress Yerin Ha, who recently shot to prominence for her role as the lead of the fourth series of Bridgeton, Sophie Beak, also appears.

Based on Jane Harper’s 2020 novel of the same name, the drama follows Kieran Elliot, who returns to his hometown 15 years after a devastating storm claimed the lives of his brother and his brother’s best friend. Around the same time, a young girl also disappears without a trace.

As Kieran arrives back in town with his new family, the ghosts of the past begin to resurface, with the death of a young girl threatening to unearth long-buried secrets. The show premiered on the streaming platform in June 2025, and currently boasts an impressive 100 per cent score on Rotten Tomatoes, with viewers lauding both the plot and characters, noting it “scratches the right spot”.

Despite comprising just six episodes, many have also applauded its ability to deliver a compelling and intricate story within a limited timeframe. “It’s super twisty turning. It’s so, so good,” Lamia said. “And I totally recommend if you want a show to binge. It’s so good. I love, love, love this.”

Lamia was far from alone in singing its praises, as numerous viewers flocked to the comments section to share their enthusiasm. “Yes I loved it!” one person wrote, while another added: “Very good show!”

However, one dissenting voice offered a contrasting view, saying: “I’m going to be honest. I’ve tried multiple times and cannot get through episode 1. Maybe I’ll try again..”

The Survivors is available to stream now on Netflix.
