Taylor Sheridan’s Definitive Yellowstone Replacement Is Already Returning in 2027 — and Season 3 Is Moving Ahead Too

Taylor Sheridan’s latest Western drama has barely finished its first season, but Paramount+ is already looking far beyond it.
After The Madison delivered a record-breaking debut, two of its returning stars have offered the clearest indication yet of when viewers can expect Season 2 — while also revealing that work on a third season is moving surprisingly quickly.
Danielle Vasinova, who plays Kestrel Harris, says the next six episodes are expected to arrive in early 2027.
And according to both Vasinova and co-star Kevin Zegers, the cast could be back in front of the cameras for Season 3 around the same time.
Season 2 Was Finished Before Fans Even Saw Season 1

Unlike many television dramas that must wait for ratings before receiving another season, The Madison entered its premiere with Paramount already showing considerable confidence in Sheridan’s new series.
The first two seasons were filmed consecutively.
That meant the cast had completed Season 2 before audiences had even had the opportunity to react to Season 1.
Zegers, who plays Cade Harris, believes that unusual situation actually helped.
He explained that filming the second season before the first had been released prevented the atmosphere on set from being affected by outside reactions.
“It was mostly nice to shoot a second season before anyone had seen the first season,” he said, noting that sometimes “the vibes change on set” once something the cast has created is finally consumed by audiences.
Now that both seasons are complete, the next step is already approaching.
“We’re going back to make the third at the beginning of next year,” Zegers revealed.
Early 2027 Is the Target

Vasinova was even more specific about the show’s immediate future.
“I got cast in the show back in 2024, and our first season came out in 2026,” she said.
“Season 2 is going to come out top of 2027.”
She also indicated that Season 3 filming is expected to begin around that period.
An official premiere date has not yet been announced, but her comments provide fans with the strongest release window so far.
Zegers also confirmed that Season 2 will once again consist of six episodes.
The Madison Became a Huge Paramount+ Launch

The accelerated production schedule follows an impressive start for Sheridan’s latest drama.
The Madison premiered on March 14, 2026, initially launching with three episodes.
According to the supplied report, it attracted 8 million viewers during its first 10 days, becoming Paramount+’s most-watched debut season.
Its audience success came despite a more divided critical reception, with the series holding a 63% Rotten Tomatoes score in the report.
Paramount had already renewed the drama for a second season before its premiere, while a third season was ordered following the Season 1 finale.
Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell Lead Sheridan’s Family Drama

Rather than simply recreating the sprawling ranch conflicts associated with Sheridan’s other Western stories, The Madison puts family grief and relationships at the centre.
Michelle Pfeiffer stars as Stacy Clyburn opposite Kurt Russell as her husband, Preston.
The wealthy couple have been together since their teenage years, but their family is forced into an emotional upheaval following an unexpected tragedy.
Their story unfolds between two dramatically different settings: the vast landscape of Montana and the energy of Manhattan.
The wider Clyburn family includes daughters Abby, played by Beau Garrett, and Paige, played by Elle Chapman.
Amiah Miller and Alaina Pollack portray granddaughters Bridgett and Macy, while Patrick J. Adams plays son-in-law Russell. Matthew Fox appears as Preston’s younger brother, Paul.
Zegers and Vasinova play married couple Cade and Kestrel Harris.
Sheridan’s New Western Is Already Building for the Long Term
The biggest uncertainty now isn’t whether The Madison will continue.
It’s exactly when viewers will see what has already been filmed.
Season 2 is complete, another six episodes are waiting, and the actors are already discussing their return to production for Season 3.
For a drama that only made its debut in March, that’s an unusually fast expansion.
An exact Season 2 premiere date remains under wraps, but Vasinova’s update points toward early 2027 — while Sheridan’s newest Western universe is already preparing to head back into production for a third season.
