Netflix Fans Urge Viewers Not to Miss ‘Underrated’ Sci-Fi Series Travelers With a Perfect Rotten Tomatoes Score

Finding a series worth committing to can be difficult when streaming platforms offer seemingly endless choices, but Netflix viewers believe one overlooked science-fiction drama deserves far more attention.
Travelers, which first arrived in 2016 and ran for three seasons, has been repeatedly recommended by fans looking for a compelling, binge-worthy story. The series also achieved the rare distinction of a perfect 100% Rotten Tomatoes rating.
Despite that acclaim, some fans argue the show remains surprisingly unknown.
Netflix Viewers Rediscover ‘Travelers’

The series recently became the subject of renewed discussion after a Reddit user asked for recommendations for a longer show with multiple seasons and, most importantly, a story capable of keeping them invested.
The viewer listed Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Ozark and Suits among their favorites, explaining that they wanted something with enough episodes and narrative depth to become fully absorbed in.
Several recommendations followed, but Travelers repeatedly appeared in the responses.
“TRAVELERS!! Guaranteed you will love it,” one person wrote.
Another was pleased simply to find someone else familiar with the show, commenting: “Finally another that has enjoyed the series. Most folks have never heard of it.”
A third viewer revealed they had returned to the series more than once.
“I love Travelers. I’ve even rewatched it,” they wrote. “So underrated and I’m not really sure why.”
What Is ‘Travelers’ About?

Travelers puts a different spin on the familiar concept of time travel.
Centuries into a post-apocalyptic future, humanity’s remaining survivors discover a way to send human consciousness backward through time.
Rather than physically traveling into the past, they transfer their consciousness into people living in the 21st century, hoping to alter events and prevent the catastrophic future they already know is coming.
Their advantage is knowledge.
Using historical records and archived social media profiles, the travelers arrive prepared for their missions. But adapting to the lives they inherit proves considerably more complicated.
The people whose identities they assume include an FBI agent, a single mother and a college student, forcing the travelers to navigate jobs, families and relationships while simultaneously carrying out missions intended to change humanity’s future.
Those personal complications quickly become almost as difficult as the larger task they have been sent back to accomplish.
Fans Praise Its ‘Fresh Take’ on Time Travel
The first season debuted in 2016, with the story ultimately continuing across three seasons before Netflix cancelled the series.
The decision disappointed its dedicated audience, many of whom have continued recommending the show years later.
Viewers have particularly praised the unpredictability of its storyline, ensemble performances and writing, as well as its distinctive approach to time travel.
“It’s very addictive once you start watching it and will want to binge it as quickly as possible,” one reviewer wrote.
Another described Travelers as a rare example of a science-fiction series that successfully combines numerous elements, praising its “fresh take on time travel,” ensemble cast, humor, thrills and central story.
That continuing enthusiasm may explain why the series keeps resurfacing whenever viewers ask for hidden Netflix recommendations.
Three seasons after its story began, Travelers remains the kind of overlooked sci-fi series its fans believe deserves to be discovered by a much bigger audience.
