One Night Is All This Mystery Needs to Consume You. Netflix Viewers Are Racing Through This Outstanding Whodunnit, Praising Its Clever Twists, Brilliant Performances And A Finale Nobody Sees Coming

Are you looking for your next Netflix binge? Viewers have been tuning into Prey, the whodunnit mystery drama currently storming the charts, and we think it could be right up your street.

Originally airing on ITV in 2014, the two-season, Manchester-set series stars John Simm as DS Marcus Farrow, who is wrongly accused of murdering his ex-wife and one of his sons.

After finding a new streaming home on Netflix over the weekend, the series has already climbed to the second most-watched show on the UK TV chart – and with a perfect 100 per cent Rotten Tomatoes score, we’re not surprised. Plus, with both seasons consisting of just three episodes each, it’s the perfect pick for a one-night binge.

What to expect from Prey

Told over two binge-worthy seasons, Prey centres around Detective Sergeant Marcus Farrow,  a well-liked and respected copper in his field.

The synopsis reads: “But when Farrow is found at the scene of a brutal crime, with all the evidence pointing towards him, his world collapses. Now on the run, Farrow is not just trying to evade capture. He is determined to clear his name. With the clock ticking, will Farrow stay free long enough to find the truth?”

Who stars in Prey?

Leading series one is John Simm (Life on Mars, Grace), who plays DS Marcus Farrow, while Rosie Cavaliero (Kaos, The Power of Parker) stars in both seasons as DS Susan Reinhart.

They’re joined by Craig Parkinson (Line of Duty, Grace) as DI Sean Devlin, Benedict Wong (3 Body Problem) as DS Ashley Chan, and Adrian Edmondson (EastEnders) as Assistant Chief Constable Warner.

Rounding out the cast of season two are Philip Glenister (Life on Mars, Bergerac) as David Murdoch, MyAnna Buring (The Witcher) as Jules Hope, and Nathan Stewart-Jarrett (Culprits) as DC Richard Iddon.
