‘Lost’ Star Josh Holloway Joins ‘Tracker’ Season 4 in Major Guest Role
Tracker is adding another familiar face to its fourth season. Josh Holloway, best known for playing James “Sawyer” Ford in Lost, is officially joining the CBS drama as a guest star, bringing a new character into Colter Shaw’s world of reward hunting.

Holloway is set to make his debut in Season 4, Episode 7, scheduled to air on November 22. He will play Luke Kelsol, a fellow rewardist whose approach to the job is very different from Colter’s. While the two share a profession, Luke’s moral compass is guided primarily by his own interests rather than a desire to help others.
The announcement adds to an already eventful season, which recently welcomed back Jensen Ackles as Colter’s brother, Russell Shaw.
Josh Holloway’s Character Brings a New Dynamic to ‘Tracker’
Luke Kelsol is described as a rewardist much like Colter Shaw, played by Justin Hartley. However, the key distinction between them lies in their motivations. Colter often takes on cases to help people in need, whereas Luke is more self-serving.

That contrast could create an interesting dynamic when the two characters cross paths. Holloway’s arrival also follows Jensen Ackles’ return as Russell, giving the fourth season another high-profile guest appearance.
First-look images from Holloway’s episode have also been released, offering an early glimpse of his character ahead of the November 22 broadcast.
‘Tracker’ Continues to Build Momentum in Season 4
The fourth season of Tracker premiered on CBS in October, with new episodes airing every Sunday before becoming available to stream on Paramount+ the following day.
The series has maintained a place in the platform’s top 10 since the day after its Season 4 premiere. Its continued popularity has helped reinforce its position as one of the most-watched network television dramas of the 2020s.

Although CBS has not officially renewed Tracker for a fifth season, the show’s ongoing performance has encouraged optimism about its future. The series has also received positive responses from viewers and critics, with some noting that it continues to improve as the story develops.
Another significant change came behind the scenes. Beginning with Season 4, production moved from Ontario to Los Angeles. The relocation has prompted speculation about the network’s longer-term plans for the series, although it does not amount to confirmation of another season.
Where Have You Seen Josh Holloway Before?
Holloway remains widely recognised for his portrayal of James “Sawyer” Ford in the hit series Lost. Over the years, he has also appeared in several other television projects.
He played Roarke in 10 episodes of Yellowstone, the five-season Western created by Taylor Sheridan and starring Kevin Costner.

In 2025, Holloway moved to HBO for Duster, a Max original series in which he took on another leading role. However, the show was cancelled after a single season, with the streamer citing low viewership as the main reason.
His upcoming appearance in Tracker marks another addition to a career spanning several well-known television dramas.
With Holloway arriving in Episode 7 and Russell Shaw already back in the picture, Season 4 has more guest-star developments in store. For now, fans can look forward to seeing how Luke Kelsol’s self-interested approach to reward hunting compares with Colter’s — and what happens when their paths finally meet.
