A startling claim has shed light on an alleged encounter during Meghan Markle’s turbulent time behind Palace doors.

Meghan Markle allegedly delivered a brutal three-word dismissal to a nervous young woman who had been interviewing for a position within the royal household before she quit royal life back in 2020. The encounter is said to have taken place behind Palace doors, when the prospective employee, reportedly in her early 20s, was brought in to meet the royal, 45, about a potential role.
But rather than the conventional interview she may have been expecting, the meeting was allegedly over almost as quickly as it began. According to an account shared by Daily Mail columnist Sarah Vine, Meghan was sitting at her desk looking through paperwork when the young woman entered the room.
She alleged that Meghan eventually looked up, briefly studied the woman and then returned her attention to the papers in front of her.
The three words that allegedly followed brought the encounter to an abrupt end.
Vine quoted Meghan as telling the applicant: “You can leave.” According to the account, the meeting apparently ending before anything resembling a conventional job interview had taken place.
In March 2021, Harry and Meghan sat down with Oprah Winfrey for a bombshell interview in which they made a series of claims about their experiences within the institution.

Their Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan, followed in December 2022, offering further insight into their decision to leave Britain and their strained relationship with the monarchy.
Then came Harry’s memoir, Spare, in January 2023, which contained intensely personal accounts involving members of his family and pushed already-strained royal relations further into the spotlight.
Yet after years of distance and very public criticism, the direction of travel now appears markedly different.

The Sussexes have increasingly found themselves at the centre of speculation over whether a reconciliation with the Royal Family could finally be on the cards.
Harry, 41, has made little secret of his desire to repair relations, publicly speaking about his wish to reconcile with his family after years of tension.
However, the tables now appear to be turning. Just weeks ago, Harry returned to the UK to mark one year to go until the Invictus Games, with Meghan later flying over with their children before the family reportedly reunited with King Charles behind closed doors at Highgrove.
The private meeting marked a significant shift after years of distance, public accusations and deeply strained relations between the Sussexes and the Royal Family.
