The 42-year-old Oklahoma native and American Idol judge stunned in an elegant off-white gown adorned with floral-inspired shoulders. Backed by a gospel choir and full band, Carrie Underwood let her powerhouse vocals take center stage as she delivered a goosebump-inducing rendition of “How Great Thou Art.” The performance opened with low-lying fog drifting across the stage floor and heavenly cloud visuals lighting up the background as Underwood gently sang the song’s opening verse.

Luke Bryan, Jelly Roll, and Lionel Richie looked on from the star-studded judges’ panel as she delivered a powerful rendition of the beloved church hymn. The studio audience swayed to the music, holding glowing candlesticks, creating a truly stunning and breathtaking visual.

Her performance concluded with a shower of white confetti falling over the audience, bringing the “Songs of Faith” Easter Sunday episode of Idol to a memorable close.

American Idol “Songs Of Faith” Episode On Easter Sunday

Carrie Underwood was just one of the performers in a star-studded lineup on Easter Sunday’s episode of American Idol. The ‘Songs of Faith’ themed episode also featured performances from Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, Brandon Lake, Jelly Roll, CeCe Winans, and the entire Top 24, who were vying for a spot in the Top 20.

This year’s “Song Of Faith” episode marked the first time in Idol history that the popular singing competition show showcased all faith-based or gospel songs in celebration of a religious holiday.
