THEY REALLY DID THAT AFTER THE FINAL WHISTLE… Belgium didn’t just knock the USA out of the World Cup with a dominant 4-1 win—they made sure everyone was talking after the match too. Moments after booking their place in the quarter-finals, several Belgian stars broke into a celebration that fans instantly linked to U.S. President’s signature dance, turning an already controversial night into one of the tournament’s biggest talking points. The match had been surrounded by debate following FIFA’s decision to clear U.S. striker Folarin Balogun to play after his suspension was overturned, a move that sparked criticism from Belgian officials before kickoff.

BELGIUM stars brutally trolled President Donald Trump as they hit back at his involvement in their clash with the USA.

The Red Devils secured a 4-1 triumph over the co-hosts in Seattle led by a Charles De Ketelaere brace in the first half.

However, the build-up of the game had been dominated by the controversial circumstances which had seen Folarin Balogun allowed to play.

Balogun had been sent off in the USA‘s round of 32 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina, meaning he was set to be suspended for the Belgium game.

However, the ban was overturned by Fifa after Trump made a phone call to Gianni Infantino.

The decision received widespread backlash, including from the Belgian FA and Uefa, the latter of whom said football‘s governing body had “crossed a line” and put the sport’s integrity into question.

SunSport revealed how Belgium were even ready to ask the Court of Arbitration for Sport to reverse the result if they lost to a US team including Balogun in Seattle.

But as the saying goes with American favourite basketball: “Ball don’t lie,” and it was Belgium who had the last laugh as they poked fun at President Trump for his part in the Balogun scandal.

Former Manchester United and Chelsea ace Romelu Lukaku climbed off the bench to score his nation’s fourth goal.

And he provided the cherry on the top as he and his team-mates celebrated in a huddle by copying Trump’s dance.

Trump, 80, is sometimes seen at his rallies breaking out into a little jig where his arms move side to side, while his age means he can only do minor movements below the waist.

However, following the Seattle hammering of Mauricio Pochettino‘s side it was Belgium who were dancing their way into the quarter-finals.

Fans on social media were left in hysterics at the dig, with one saying: “You lose 4–1 at home and then your opponent celebrates with the Trump Dance… that’s generational trolling.”

A second said: “Fantastic s***housery.”

A third added: “Belgium did the Trump dance after their fourth goal against us. I can’t help but respect this trash talk. They whipped us, they get to dance.”

Another said: “NEXT LEVEL TROLLING.”

USA were the last of the three host nations standing by virtue of them playing last, with Canada and Mexico also being eliminated in the last 16 by Morocco and England, respectively.

The win puts Belgium into a quarter-final against Spain on July 10, after the European champions beat Portugal with an injury-time winner from Mikel Merino.
