During warmer months, the Prince and Princess of Wales typically spend quality time with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. The couple is fond of family vacations from the Isles of Scilly in the United Kingdom to the Caribbean.
When they’re not indulging in nature’s beauty, they retreat to their home away from home, Anmer Hall, in the English countryside.
In July 2026, the couple shared their “summer rewind” in photos on Instagram. In the carousel, they shared a sweet photo of their family lying in the grass together, which was taken during a recent family vacation in Cornwall.

Prince William has been vacationing in the Isles of Scilly — located just off the southwest tip of England — since he was a kid when his parents, Princess Diana and King Charles, took him there.
He’s kept the family tradition alive with Princess Kate, as the pair frequent the destination with their kids. In 2020, the family was spotted on a bike ride on the isle of Tresco.
A tourist told told Daily Mirror, “William and Kate were riding their bicycles, having a laugh. They looked so happy enjoying the weather. I did do a double take. They were really friendly and said hello.”
When Prince William visited the area during a solo work trip in May 2024, he said, “My family are very upset I’m here without them,” per the Daily Mail.
Beach Days

Prince William and Princess Kate carry out many royal duties every summer. In between attending sporting events — like Royal Ascot and Wimbledon — and hosting charitable events, the couple finds time for family.
In Norfolk — which is roughly three hours from London — Prince William, Princess Kate and their children enjoy beach and boat days.

When in Norfolk, the couple retreat to their country home: Anmer Hall. The Sandringham country estate is where they enjoy school breaks, weekend trips and holidays, and it’s where Princess Kate considers herself to feel most at home.
The 10-bedroom home was gifted to the family by Queen Elizabeth as a wedding present in 2011.

Princess Kate’s cancer diagnosis altered the couple’s outlook on life. In a video shared in September 2024, the family announced Kate’s completion of chemotherapy.
Filmed in Norfolk, the video featured the royal couple showing their affection for each other. In clips, they could be seen holding hands, laying down next to each other and sitting on a blanket with their dog, Orla. Kate put her head on William’s shoulder in one sweet moment.
“This time has, above all, reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted,” Kate said in the video. “Of simply loving and being loved.”

The family is always smiling together, even during hard times.
The couple’s kids were also featured in the three-minute clip announcing Kate’s chemotherapy completion. The children were shown getting up close to the camera, and Kate could be seen pushing her younger son, Prince Louis, on a swing.
