WAYNE ROONEY DROPS FIVE-WORD I’M A CELEBRITY HINT — “I ALWAYS LIKE A CHALLENGE”
Wayne Rooney has fuelled fresh speculation that he could be heading into the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! jungle after giving an unusually cryptic response when asked about the rumours.
The former Manchester United and England star appeared on This Morning alongside wife Coleen to promote their new Disney+ series, The Real Rooneys, which follows the couple and their four sons over the past year.
But host Ben Shephard soon turned the conversation towards the jungle.
Coleen finished as runner-up on I’m A Celebrity in 2024, and Ben joked that Wayne looked ready for the infamous shower scenes.
“Is it something you’re considering?” he asked.
Wayne admitted that he has repeatedly been approached about appearing on the show.
“I’ve been asked all the time as well and there’s been rumours for the past few years and there is again this year,” he said.
Then came the tease.
“Have to wait and see.”
When Ben and Cat Deeley joked about how vague his answer was, Rooney added another intriguing line:
“I always like a challenge, life’s a challenge.”
That was enough to keep the speculation alive, although Rooney stopped short of confirming that he will actually enter the jungle.
Other names linked with the 2026 series include Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson, Big Brother host AJ Odudu, Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson and former Love Island star Olivia Attwood.
Meanwhile, The Real Rooneys has now launched on Disney+, with the first eight episodes available to stream.
Fans will have to wait until October 1 for two additional special episodes, with details of what they will contain still being kept under wraps.
