ALISON HAMMOND REVEALS WHY SHE WON’T MARRY HER ‘TOYBOY’ BOYFRIEND — DESPITE BEING ‘OBSESSED WITH EACH OTHER’

Alison Hammond has opened up about her romance with boyfriend David Putman, describing the pair as “obsessed with each other” while revealing the surprising reason she has no plans to rush down the aisle.
The This Morning presenter, 51, spoke warmly about her 29-year-old boyfriend, calling him a calming presence in her life and saying she is incredibly grateful to have him by her side.
Their relationship comes as Alison continues to recover from a frightening health scare that saw her rushed out of the This Morning studio after suddenly clutching her chest.
She later revealed that doctors gave her the all-clear and that she believed she had suffered a “massive panic attack on live TV.”
But amid the difficult aftermath, Alison has made it clear that her relationship is providing a welcome source of comfort.

‘WE ARE OBSESSED WITH EACH OTHER’
Speaking to The Mirror, Alison opened up about how unexpectedly she and David met.
“It was so random how we met – but it was meant to be!” she said.
The presenter went on to describe just how strongly she feels about her partner.
“I absolutely adore him, he is lovely… We are obsessed with each other.”

Alison also praised David’s personality, explaining that his temperament is almost the complete opposite of hers.
“He loves me. If you met him, he has such a calming nature which is what I need. He is not like me in any way. It’s grounding.”
She later described her boyfriend, who works as a massage therapist, as someone with an energy that immediately puts people at ease.
“He just has the most beautiful energy and everyone feels it when they’re in his presence,” Alison said.
She added: “I am so grateful that he chooses to spend his life with me.”
WHY ALISON ISN’T RUSHING TO GET MARRIED

Despite being so openly affectionate about David, Alison has previously made it clear that she is not desperate for a wedding.
The couple already live together and, for Alison, that commitment is enough.
“We live together, and we’re happy the way it is,” she explained.
And she offered a particularly candid explanation for why she does not feel she needs a ring to prove what she feels.
“I don’t need a ring to show my love to somebody.”
However, Alison stopped short of completely ruling out marriage.
She revealed: “What I will say is, if he asked me tomorrow to marry him, it wouldn’t be a ‘no’. That’s all I’m going to say to you.”
Her comments paint a picture of a relationship where marriage is possible — but certainly not something she feels she needs to make her commitment official.
THE FRIGHTENING MOMENT THAT CHANGED HER WEEK
Alison’s relationship update comes after an alarming incident on This Morning last week.
While presenting alongside Dermot O’Leary, she was speaking to vet Dr Scott Miller when she suddenly clutched her chest and began breathing heavily.
Dermot helped her away from the camera before the programme went to an advert break.
A loud retch could also be heard in the background as Dr Scott continued speaking to a concerned pet owner via video call.
Alison was subsequently taken to hospital by ambulance, later admitting that she had feared she was having a heart attack.
After undergoing checks on her heart, lungs and blood, Alison reassured fans that everything had come back clear.
‘THE SHAME OF IT’
In a video filmed after returning home, Alison thanked the NHS staff who had looked after her and admitted that panic attacks were still new territory for her.
“I’m all OK, it’s all clear, which would mean I had a massive panic attack on live TV,” she said.
She then laughed at her own embarrassment, adding: “I mean the shame of it.”
But Alison also stressed just how real the experience had felt.
“It felt very real to me, you know, I’m really new to panic attacks so I need to learn more about it.”
She thanked everyone at This Morning for supporting her, singling out Dermot for being “incredible” during the frightening incident.
“I’m going to take stock, get some rest and I’ll see you soon. Love ya,” she told fans.
Her update was later played on This Morning, where Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley also reassured viewers that Alison was home and resting.
For now, Alison appears to be taking things one step at a time — recovering from a frightening experience while enjoying a relationship she describes with striking certainty.
And although she may not need a wedding ring to define that love, her latest comments make one thing very clear: David already holds a very special place in her life.
