Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet have reportedly begun a new chapter in Britain — and the school chosen for the young royals comes with a striking price tag.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle returned to the UK last week with their two children, Archie and Lilibet, who are expected to begin attending a new school this month. The family’s return was announced only days before they arrived, with King Charles and Prince William reportedly informed just three days before the news became public.

Now, new details have emerged about the school Archie and Lilibet are reportedly set to attend.

A £29,500-a-year school

According to Page Six, the school has not been publicly identified because of privacy concerns, but the annual cost for each child is reportedly around £29,500 ($35,000).

That places the children’s education firmly in the premium category, with the school offering an impressive range of facilities.

Among them are an indoor swimming pool, a fitness centre, large grass playing fields and several AstroTurf pitches for sports.

For Archie and Lilibet, however, the school’s privacy arrangements may be just as significant as its facilities.

Parents reportedly given a special warning

With the arrival of two highly recognisable royal children, fellow families have reportedly been alerted to additional expectations surrounding privacy.

Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield said school officials contacted families in the area ahead of the children’s arrival, with parents and carers reminded that some pupils may attract greater public and media attention.

Speaking to Page Six, Schofield said the message explained that, from time to time, families joining the school could bring “a greater level of public or media interest.”

The communication reportedly stressed the school’s aim of providing every child with a safe, happy and private environment.

Parents were also allegedly reminded not to photograph or film other children without permission.

They were further asked not to share photographs, information or personal details about pupils or their families on social media.

A very different life for Archie and Lilibet

The reported arrangements underline just how carefully the Sussex children’s first steps into British school life are expected to be managed.

Their return to the UK has already attracted considerable attention, particularly because Harry had previously spoken so strongly about his concerns over bringing his family back.

Yet Archie and Lilibet are now reportedly preparing to attend school in Britain, surrounded by measures designed to keep their day-to-day lives as private as possible.
