Titus Welliver has another crime drama success on his hands, with his latest gangster thriller The Westies reaching an impressive streaming milestone on MGM+.

Best known for portraying detective Harry Bosch in Bosch and Bosch: Legacy, Welliver has returned to the crime genre alongside J.K. Simmons and Tom Brittney in a series that continues to attract attention months after its premiere.

Now, The Westies has surpassed 100 days on MGM+’s Top 10 streaming chart, raising hopes that the eight-episode drama could return for a second season.

The Westies Celebrates 104 Days on MGM+’s Streaming Chart

According to streaming tracking platform FlixPatrol, The Westies has spent 104 days on MGM+’s Top 10 Overall chart through Amazon Channels.

The achievement is particularly notable because the ranking includes both television series and films.

As of October 26, the crime drama occupied eighth place on the daily chart, ahead of titles including Tombstone, Boo 2! A Madea Halloween and Liam Neeson’s Cold Storage.

Its 104-day run also represents the longest streak among the titles listed, comfortably exceeding Cold Storage, which had accumulated 75 days.

The sustained chart presence suggests that the series continues to attract viewers well beyond its initial release window.

Titus Welliver Leads an Impressive Crime Drama Cast

The Westies premiered on MGM+ on July 12, 2026, launching with two episodes before continuing with weekly installments.

Its eight-episode first season concluded on August 23.

The series features Welliver as Glenn Keenan, alongside J.K. Simmons and Tom Brittney, who portrays Jimmy Roarke.

For Welliver, the role adds another major crime drama to an extensive television career.

Beyond his decade-long portrayal of Harry Bosch, the actor has appeared in Dark Winds, The Equalizer, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and The Mentalist.

He has also reprised Bosch in the spin-off series Ballard, maintaining his connection to Michael Connelly’s popular detective franchise.

Will The Westies Return for Season 2?

Despite its strong streaming performance, MGM+ has not officially renewed The Westies for a second season.

However, the show’s reception provides several encouraging signs.

The first season currently holds a 74% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes, alongside a 76% audience score.

Combined with its extended run on MGM+’s popularity chart, those figures suggest there is continued interest in the series.

Several cast members, including Welliver, Simmons and Jessica Frances Dukes, have also discussed their hopes for another season.

Nevertheless, no production schedule or release date has been announced, and a renewal remains uncertain.

For viewers who enjoyed Bosch, MobLand or other character-driven crime dramas, The Westies offers another opportunity to see Welliver in a tense criminal underworld.

All eight episodes of the first season are available on MGM+, while audiences await an official decision about the show’s future.
