A hidden 13-word message may have exposed the one mistake Meghan Markle never meant anyone to notice. An ITV royal correspondent believes the Duchess inadvertently revealed far more than intended in her latest family photo collection—raising fresh questions about the privacy she has spent years trying to protect. The observation has reignited debate over whether the Sussexes’ own social media posts are quietly undermining the message they’ve long defended, with one small detail now becoming the biggest talking point. One hidden clue. Thirteen revealing words. And a privacy debate that’s suddenly impossible to ignore.

Meghan Markle has made a key mistake amidst her requests for privacy for herself and her family according to ITV News Royal Editor Chris Ship. The broadcaster was reacting to the Duchess most recent Instagram photo dump on the latest episode of the ITV News show Talking Royals chatting with Loose women star Charlene White and ITV News royal expert Lizzie Robinson when he pointed out a huge error in the images. She posted a series of images of her family’s summer adventures which included a photo that appeared to be from a restaurant in Portugal where the couple own a holiday home.

“I’d say when it comes to privacy if they have bought a holiday home and you are able to reverse Google search that image of that restaurant then that’s probably the mistake,” he said. “If you are worried about your privacy don’t share where the restaurant was,” Chris stated in a brutal 13 word takedown.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex purchased their European getaway villa in 2023 for a reported £3.6million, with plans to redecorate.

It is said to be in the same Portuguese resort where the Prince Harry’s cousin, Princess Eugenie, resides during the summer months.

The royal properties are close to Comporta and Melides, which are no more than an hour’s drive from Lisbon. In her recent Instagram post, Meghan shared glimpses of their trip to Europe, including moments from their visit to a Mediterranean country.

Some of the pictures showed the family on the beach, while others revealed Portugal’s quaint cobblestone streets and dainty shops.

Sources close to the Sussexes told People magazine: “They love Portugal because Archie and Lilibet can simply be kids. It’s always very low-key with beach days, playing and spending time together as a family.”

They added that the kind of “normal family time” they get in Portugal is very “important” to the couple.

“That kind of normal family time is really important to Harry and Meghan,” the source continues.

According to the outlet, the country offers a “practical advantage” for the couple, as it’s only a few hours away from Britain, which helps with Harry’s bid to be closer to Britain and spend more time with family and friends.

Many might instinctively choose the letter E, but that is not the correct answer. A familiar sentence, four options, and a mere 30 seconds—yet a single small detail was enough to trip them up.
