WHAT A SERIES! Viewers Are Binge-watching This Riveting Military Drama For Hours—And Some Are Calling It The Most Realistic Of Its Kind. From the very first episode, the series throws viewers straight into the pressure, danger, and emotional intensity of military life, creating an experience that feels remarkably authentic. The tension never lets up, the characters feel genuinely human, and every episode makes walking away harder than the last. Some viewers have gone even further, calling it “the best” and “most realistic” military drama they’ve watched. The more you watch, the more completely it pulls you into its world. And once you’re invested, the hours simply disappear—until “just one episode” somehow turns into an entire night.

One of TV’s most realistic military dramas has arrived on Netflix, giving fans another chance to dive into the action-packed series SEAL Team.

The streaming service has added the first five seasons of the show, and viewers have been quick to binge through the episodes. SEAL Team ran for seven seasons in total, meaning Netflix subscribers now have access to the majority of the series in one place.

Those without a Netflix subscription can also watch the show on U at no extra cost. Viewers who make it through the first five seasons and want to continue can find the final two seasons on NOW or Paramount+.

The move to Netflix is expected to introduce the long-running military drama to a much wider audience.

A military drama praised for its realism

SEAL Team first aired in 2017 before concluding in 2024. Although plans for a spin-off movie were eventually shelved, viewers can now revisit the story from its beginning and follow the characters across all seven seasons.

The series centres on Bravo Team, a sub-unit of the United States Naval Special Warfare Development Group and one of the most elite units within the Navy SEALs. The team is tasked with planning and carrying out dangerous missions around the world, often with little warning.

SEAL Team cast

Alongside the risks faced on operations, the series also explores the pressures placed on the team members and their families.

David Boreanaz leads the cast. He is known for his roles in the crime drama Bones, the fantasy horror series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spin-off Angel.

Despite the show’s conclusion, SEAL Team continues to receive strong praise from viewers, with some fans arguing that its 85% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes does not fully reflect how good the series is.

Viewers say they cannot stop watching

Many fans have described becoming hooked almost immediately, particularly because of the combination of action, suspense and personal stories.

One viewer wrote online that they had spent weeks binge-watching the series and found themselves unable to stop. They praised its action and suspense while describing it as a behind-the-scenes look at what happens with SEAL teams.

Another fan simply called the show “Addictive” and said they could not stop watching.

A different viewer said they had only recently discovered the series but had already been binge-watching it heavily, adding that they loved it and regularly found themselves in tears.

SEAL Team cast

One fan said they were “instantly hooked”, praising the action, human stories and dialogue. They said they had worked their way through the first season in just a couple of days.

Another viewer described SEAL Team as the best military show they had watched, highlighting the producers’ attention to detail. They also praised the characters and the way the series follows their lives both as members of Bravo Team and away from their military duties.

With five of its seven seasons now available on Netflix, the series has another opportunity to attract viewers who may have missed it during its original run.

SEAL Team is streaming on Netflix, U, NOW and Paramount+.
