“LIKE A LITTLE REBA!” 15-Year-Old The Voice Contestant Stuns Coaches With Lainey Wilson Cover as Riley Green Declares Her One to Beat
Allie Rae is raising the bar on The Voice. The 15-year-old country singer delivered a standout performance of Lainey Wilson’s “4X4XU,” earning glowing praise from the coaches and prompting her own mentor, Riley Green, to compare her to country music legend Reba McEntire.
With the competition entering a crucial new phase, the teenager has given her rivals a serious challenge.

Kelly Clarkson Left Amazed by the Teenager’s Talent
Rae’s performance immediately caught Kelly Clarkson’s attention, with the coach struggling to believe just how young the singer was.
“Girl, you are 15 years old. That’s crazy,” Clarkson told her after the performance.
She then offered Rae a powerful vote of confidence, making it clear that the teenager’s potential extends far beyond the current competition.
“Regardless what happens right now, you are so far ahead of the game. You are going to be incredible.”
For a contestant still in her teens, the praise underscored just how much of an impression she had made on the panel.
Riley Green Calls Her “A Little Mini Reba”
Green was equally impressed. The country star praised Rae’s performance from start to finish, singling out her fierce stage presence and the confidence she brought to the song.
“Everything about it was great, like a little mini Reba,” he said. “You’re so fierce. We got to see the best version of you in that performance. I really loved it.”
The comparison to Reba McEntire was a particularly striking compliment for the young country singer.
Green later elaborated on Rae’s progress, noting how much she had developed since the Blind Auditions.
“Allie Rae’s definitely grown from the Blinds, and in a short period of time too,” he said.
He also pointed to a quality that made her performance stand out: a stage presence that seemed far beyond her years.
“She’s only 15 years old, but her stage presence doesn’t feel that way.”
Green was left with little doubt about the standard Rae had set for the other contestants.
“Allie Rae definitely set the bar high. It’s going to be really tough to beat that performance.”
A Standout Moment in The Voice’s First-Ever Cut Week
Rae’s performance arrived during a particularly unforgiving stage of The Voice: its first-ever Cut Week, which featured the biggest elimination in the show’s history.
Coaches Kelly Clarkson, Riley Green, Queen Latifah and Adam Levine each selected two artists to advance directly to the Live Shows before the remaining contestants took the stage.
That left five artists on each team fighting for just one additional place.
For Team Riley, Rae was among those five performers, alongside Everett Bounds, Keiyana Osmond, Kayleigh Matthews and Joe Henley. Each had to deliver a performance strong enough to convince Green they deserved to continue.
Once the performances were complete, each coach would choose one of their five remaining artists to join the two contestants already secured for the Live Shows.
The stakes were high, and Rae’s performance gave Green a compelling reason to consider her for that coveted spot.
America Will Decide Who Makes the Top 13
The remaining 12 contestants face another route to survival. Rather than relying solely on their coaches, they must win over viewers at home.
America’s vote will determine which single artist across all four teams earns the final audience-voted place in the Live Shows, completing the Top 13.
With Green publicly declaring that Rae had set an exceptionally high standard, the teenager has made a strong case for herself at a pivotal moment in the competition.
Whether that momentum will carry her through Cut Week remains to be seen.
The Voice airs Mondays on NBC.
